Picture in Picture while zooming in
I know that to make a video picture in picture you can go to the effects tab and scale the video down so it appears in the other video, but what if you need to zoom in to the video while in is scaled down? How can you lock the frame size of that video file while scalling in or out or panning. Please advise.

I’m a little confused,
Scaling up and down is not zooming in and out, so while your video is sized down use the “Zoom” effect in the Video Effects Tab not the scale effect.You could also export the the intended smaller video to the size you want it before hand and then drop it into the other full size one, that way the smaller one is naturally small because you exported it that way, does that make sense?

Let me explain alittle better. Lets say I want to zoom in on a video of a person, I just go to motion and scale from 100% to (lets just say 150%). Hot to I do it if instead of a full screen video zooming in, I want to zoom in on the same video that is in the PIP set at scale of 50% so it will be in the PIP and I want to zoom in on the person and leave the picture the same size of the 50%.
Is that better?

Try creating an new sequence for the pip…leave it full screen and then zoom to 150% as needed…then nest this sequence in a superior track of the original sequence and scale it to the pip size.
