oh, sorry… Jus realised I wrote the SSD of my editing PC (since I’ve got a problem with that too and a separate topic on the forum).

On the Mac, it’s the default flash drive 256gb.

So do you think I’d benefit from the additional 16gb of ram ?

    It’s a combination of FHD and 4k footage, 25 or 50fps.

Editing on the Samsung Nvram m.2 SSD – so it should be super fast.
It was working just fine until a few days back.

I didn’t encode to proxies, so it’s the original media from the camera – h264 I guess.

The problem is, when I add some footage from an external HDD, it starts with choppy playback, then the whole PP freezes.
    Sometimes the whole PC.

I checked the system error messages..

thanks a lot for your help.

I’ve now solved with with a separate mask in premiere pro.

Is it possible to edit the template back in AE now ? I couldn’t find that anywhere on the internet.. and also it doesn’t let me open the template in AE.

when I place it in a sequence just by itself, it’s all good.

As soon as I place it on top of another video (tested with black video layer) the problem occurs.

ah ok. Unfortunately the issue is still there..

I also changed the video preview file format in sequence settings but didn’t help.

    No idea.

    thanks!

How did you actually import the file into Premiere ?
I’ve done it through the library before and was now trying to import the exact same file that I’ve sent you but I get a ‘file format not supported’ error..

ye, that’s my thinking as well.

Just wanted to see, if by any chance there’s some solution for ‘external’ rendering..

I know this is an older topic, but was asking myself the same question right now..

Do I need all the video files for rendering ? Or is it somehow possible to export just a file for Media Encoder with which I could then render all my project at once on a different (faster) computer..
