Yes — actually when I started with Movie Studio, I set up a template in Illustrator for some Titles since the former’s text Media Generator is less advanced than that in Vegas Pro. Another workaround that is “quick & dirty”, if that’s important, is to create the text with the Media Generator then immediately render just that clip (per your project’s settings) and then replace the Media Generated clip by the rendered clip. Of course you are then still limited by the options available with the Media Generator.

I’m just a recent adopter of NLE editing. Started off with Movie Studio Platinum 9, which gave me no problems with Media Generated text titles. Liked the program so took up an Amazon special offer to upgrade to Pro 9, which I immediately upgraded to 9.0a. First few days also had no problems with my titles, then suddenly they all disappeared when reloading. Was about to revert to Movie Studio when I recalled that between working & not working I had unchecked the Option to use the Media Manager (in Preferences). So I re-checked this option, redid my titles … and since then (touch wood) my Media Generated titles have been stable through several shutdowns. So maybe this is a viable workaround for this bug (it must be a bug, since I can’t imagine that this is a designed consequence of the option in question). Hope it works for you too 🙂
