    Walter,

Yeah I did test out the HD10A, by sending a 720P component from the KONA to the HD10A to the Switcher. It works perfectly.

Thanks, I’ve found other manufacturers that have VGA and DVI version to now. I wish I’d have asked the question a long time ago–since we’ve been fighting this for a while.

What format options should be selected in the quicktime Export?
    Thanks

This won’t be much help, but I think that FCP has some serious mouse issues. We have a new system-less than 6 months- and have the supplied “mighty mouse”. FCP randomly gets into a funk and drops clips whenever I stop moving the mouse (whether or not I have released the button). You can imagine, that I’ve messed up many, many edits by accidentally dropping a clip on top of another.

If anyone has insight into FCP’s mouse issues, I’d like to know too.

    Tom,

I’ve tried it with and without the snapping turned on–same situation, though.

Yes I am using a mighty mouse–but still happens when I deliberately keep my fingers away from the side buttons.

Good to know that this shouldn’t be happening. It is all very random. In fact, It was doing it–then I popped out to read the last forum message that came over email, and then popped back into FCP and it quit.

Hmmm, I don’t know. Could it be a mouse or OS problem?

    Update:

I just found that it does it with any click-drag operation in the timeline–not just moving clips, but also adjusting the edges of a clip, etc.

    Really Annoying!!!
    Help!
