  • My system was experiencing problems starting up. It was taking several minutes to boot up. I ran Tech Tool Pro on my internal drive and it reported that I had a volume structure error (-4 ??) After attempting to repair the volume the drive would no longer mount and the the only way I could get my computer to boot up was to use the Tech Tool Pro “e drive.”

I tried several times to repair the volume structure to no avail so I decided to erase the volume, reinstall Leopard and do the Time Machine restore.

Everything has rebuilt on my system. All of my files and programs are there. I just cannot get the Final Cut Studio and Aperture programs to launch.

I figure it has something to do with the software license key.

    ??

Thanks for all of your help,

    Mike

    Sorry,

I did not realize Shift Q would take you there. I am not hip to all of the keyboard short cuts.

    Good Luck,

    Hello,

Check what your system settings are for the project. This is under the Final Cut Pro tab.

Make sure the capture scratch is set to the correct drive and folder you wish the footage to go to. I also check that the render folder, etc are also set up to the particular project I am working on.

I work on several projects at the same time I have to this every time I log and transfer.

The system remembers the last location you logged footage. I have found that this happens even when you open an old project.

    Good Luck,

    Mike
