  • I notice the same thing Robert. Very slow to respond. Then again, a lot of things are slower when using BCC8. Nature of the beast, I guess. I have a GTX460 with 8 gigs of RAM using the same drivers.

Roger, I have been looking for the information that led me to the fix. I am sure that I uninstalled everything involved with .NET framework Client 4 profile through all of the Redistributes. You can always put them back in if it does not fix the problem.

Here is a link to a tech site that might help resolve the issue. At the least give you some insight on the error.

I had that error some time ago. I had to remove all of the Microsoft Visual C++ files to be rid of it. I can’t remember where I got the info for the fix, but that is what I had to do.

I am using a S/VHS. I am going to give it a cleaning which I should have done in the first place. I have a dry type cleaning tape. I imagine that would be OK. Don’t really remember using anything else. I was going to get the AVC300 back when but I didn’t have the dollars to stretch that far. I figured the 110 would be enough for my needs. Maybe I can pull a rabbit out of my hat…

    Thanks Mike

Thanks Mike! Good thing it didn’t have teeth. ;^)

I still get the same result from this particular tape. I put in a few others and they preview fine. The tape is from 1989. The only thing I can think of is some kind of funky protection. It shows up good from the VCR into the LED TV except for some colors missing. I’ll just have to use something else for this project.

Anyway, thanks for setting me straight on the controls. I need to get a bigger shovel and really dig into some of this stuff.

    Thanks again…

Grazie, I am using capture video within Vegas. I found the Enable scene detection box in the capture preferences. Where would I find the DV Control off?

Thanks John. Sounds like a lot. I never delved into RAID setups. I use a 2T SATA drive for just about everything. 500g external WD is full of media and some finished work as is another 1T external drive I need to get another drive to try and sort it all out.

John, is your 3rd hard drive for finished video only? Just curious. I need to put in some work and get my mess straightened out.
