I think you may have the wrong version of quicktime. MC 3.12 needs QT 7.5.5 as per the version matrix.

All you need to do is go to Blackmagics site & download there stand alone codec, install on you avid and import the file into avid. It will convert you BM codec QT into Avid media. Do some tests with a short peice of footage to get your settings right.

Have you used a special “crossover” Remote lead?
The Avid CANNOT auto detect wheather it is a “controling” or “contoled” device, unlike most VTR’s. You need a special cable with the TX and RX pairs swaped.

There is a setting for this in the “surfaces” sub menu I think.(I’m not in front of an Avid at the moment) But IIRC once you change it it will stay that way.
