Hi all, has anyone had any problems zipping a BPAV folder for transfer via FTP? I will get the cards a day or 2 later but the cut has to start ASAP after the shoot in another city.

    Thanks in advance.

Just to be on the safe side I’d but the BPAV in a parent folder with a unique name and zip that.

I can see a bit of a mess happening if you unzip multiple BPAV folders all named BPAV.zip

You’re going to need some heavy duty bandwidth speeds to move these files around.
You might need to check both the sender and receiver speed to whatever distant server to see what speed you can expect. Your local speed may even be very fast but it’s the speed to the area you’re sending to that’s important.

Thanks Craig, I’m not worried about bandwidth (dedicated fibre between studios) just file corruption.

    Any thoughts?
