” Yes I do. 2 Apple 27″ HD Cinema displays.”

    Tom,
How do you have both hooked into your Quadro card? It comes with the Display port to mini display port, so that covers one monitor. How did you hook up the other monitor. I swear I have looked everywhere for a male DVI to female mini display port, and I can not find it.

Just to make a slight sharpening I would use a low radius of .9 – 1.5 and an amount of 75-125. The more you increase the radius the more you will see the signature over sharpening horrible results. Also, a cool little trick to add some contrast to a shot with this filter. Take your radius up real high (35-50) and use a low amount such as (15-25), it give a create contrast effect too flat images.

If you scale a vector layer make sure you have your collapse transformations switch on and that will smooth out the jaggies

It’s crazy. Whats the point of writing preview files to your hard drive if it can’t recall them after the application closes.

I have a project with 70 comps. pre comps and a few hundred images. It would be beneficial to be able to open a separate project window so I could navigate through my elements easier. Instead of opening a pre comp in a folder and then having to scroll way down to the images, or up to twirl down the folder. I could have each folder open side by side.

are we talking about the same project panel? I’m talking about where all my assets and folders show up. This tutorial seemed to be on composition and footage window.

we are looking at 3D solid layers w/masks in a pre-comp. That pre-comp is also a 3d layer. The layer has 2 lights affecting it ( one ambient and one spot).

All comps are setup to the Classic 3D renderer

The spot light has shadows casting.

So far I found 2 solutions that work

    1.)
turn off collapse transformations for the comp with the nested circle shapes.

2.) turning off casts shadows for the spot light.

I still have to look to see if making these adjustments effects other layers or the overall look.

But I must say, it is still bizarre to me, that the same file shows up in both versions different.

    Thanks for the help guys!!!

No luck with changing comp bit depth.

Changing the shadow map resolution changed the banding pattern but none of them got rid of it.

Yes they are both in 8 bit. It’s weird because there is no gradient applied in the white circle.
