  • Understood, however one is a live event and one is a documentary shot in a diff state so options to loop aren’t really feasible for us in this case.

Thanks Michael, I’m working in 6.5 and when I open up the options box for the “merge based on known sources” I have an option second to last that is merge based on on known sources and create subclips, and then the last one is merge events on known master clips.

To date I have been adding media via the media tool prior to trying to work the ALE since I the ALE I was trying to import in that the DIT had sent me from resolve kept showing up as media offline but now I am worried that I haven’t carried in the proper metadata to match back for the DI. Do you have any thoughts on the above options, if one works better than the other may?

“Depending on where you are in the workflow, the ALE will contain additional metadata such as ASC CDL values in a dailies workflow.

Open MediaTool, find clips and drag to bin. Resove adds “ceated by Resolve” in the comments field to make then easier to find. Select all, then merge the ALE file into the existing master clips to get the additional metadata.”

    – How do you merge the ALE file into the existing master clips – I’m having a similar issue and can’t seem to fix it on my end.
