I’ll be able to give you the complete info tomorrow’s evening, but for now I can surely tell you:

    – It’s been captured trough a Component cable, using the HD PVR 2, but the previous capture does not have any of this problems, and it’s really weird.

    – It plays in the same distorted way on the Timeline, the video is in an extremely strong slow motion, and the audio jumps all over the place, ending at the first half of the movie.

    – The movie itself seems to be 58~59.6 fps in .mp4,, but it’s exactly the same as the previous ones.

    – The time/duration shows 100%

  • I’ll try as soon as possible. It’ll be tomorrow in the evening.

I checked the video before, and it is 58~59.6 fps, but it CAN’T be the problem because the previous two have the same speed and are easily imported by A.E. ..Why this isn’t?

Another doubt I have is: if Premiere imports it like this.. Maybe IF this solves the overflow issue.. What if it plays with that strange slowmotion and distorted audio? I’m seriously worried and I’m sorry for this.

I’ll surely let you know, thanks for your support.

  • Just a part of the “exercise”, but in the end I think I can use them if they’re NOT plugins. 😉

  • Can this be also the cause of my export options MISSING “TIFF Sequence”?

    Weird things.

Thanks Walter, can I ask you if it is possible for you to upload that “Format” folder here? My Workstation is really worrying me and I’m not sure about a complete reinstall of the program.. Really unsure.

  • Of course, this is an example of a SGI frame, but the problem is that AE actually doesn’t give me errors just with sequences, but with IMAGEs themselves, even if “stand alone”.

  • It sadly is not that simple. I tried so many pictures, most of them if not all were in RGB space, not to say SGI files aren’t managed by Photoshop it seems.. It must be something else, I just don’t get what.

Sadly the shots are filmed so badly that instead of discussing those here I’ll just have to take patience and work by myself, sadly these won’t be so “creative”.. Thanks. 😉

Ouch, I do understand that the most istinctive question may be “Have you Googled “after effects” technicolor ?”, sorry if that’s so. ;s

April 17, 2012 at 7:59 am in reply to: Credit Roll using .ai import – 24fps

The AI file is extremely bigger than any file readable by Photoshop or AE, so I rasterized it to a PSB file as you suggested.

First of all thanks a lot for your answer, I already have a couple of questions about it if you can still give me some support. 😉

    * “enable continuos rasterization” – What do you mean by that?

The credits are now rolling at 3 pixels per frame, but I’m really interested in the text height you mentioned.. Is there a better way than simple logic to understand what speed it’s best to use? For example, I found vertical blur to be less useful than the horizontal+vertical one. Same goes for using a little grayer text.

  • You got it. It’s the imagination if the protagonist that makes this beginning so perfect, but it’s their present time: just OUR past. The next scene implies that a public is watching a movie, and they are in color. Then the final scene shows the protagonist again in the same place, always in BW but in disgrace. The problem is that I can’t change or touch the BW idea of the director. ;]
