Can you elaborate more on your situation? By “covers”, do you mean CD Covers? When you say that the cover has lots of names and you need to duplicate them, could you not save your document as a template and use it for each cover and then save it as a separate file for each project?

What version of PS are you using? Are you referring to the Clone Stamp Tool? Some tools in your tool palette have a small arrow at the bottom right corner of the icon. If you click and hold on those icons, a flyout menu will open revealing several similar tools. Check through each tool to see if it is hidden there.
