Filip, this is great work! I’m trying to use what you’ve created in a project I have, however I’m running into an issue. I already have some text animators applied to the text I want to highlight, and the highlight position is referencing the initial position of the text (before it animates into the position I want it to end up at). Is there part of your code that I need to modify to have the highlight layer reference, say, 2 seconds into the composition instead of the beginning?

I just wanted to add that I really like some of the stuff y’all have come up with. I’m definitely going to have to look into this technique and see if I can use it in any future projects.

I tried to, because I thought that would work, but still the sliders and expressions never showed up. Don’t know what happened. But I got one of my friends to give me the expressions used and everything. So issue resolved.

It means After Effects has run out of RAM to cache to. Sometimes if you have a really intense comp, and you’re working in 32 bpc, it can only preview a few frames. Try working at 50% quality or something like that, and if you still run into problems, maybe skip every other frame or so in the ram preview.

I would try Trapcode Form or Particular. But it depends on what you want your fire to look like.

Totally off topic, but your demo reel is pretty awesome, scott. Looks like you’ve done a lot of work. Hope I can say I’ve done that much some day.
