Serial Data Transport Interface (SDTI) is the standard for transporting audio, video and data between professional and broadcast video devices, like cameras, VTRs, editing systems, video servers and transmitters. SDTI builds on the SDI standard that is now widely used to transfer uncompressed digital video between video devices. SDTI can transport compressed video in the same infrastructure. That will reduce decompression/compression generations during the production process and allow for faster-than-real-time video transfers. SDTI saves time and maximizes video quality.

MediaMover will work with Adrenaline as long as the media was captured as OMF and not MXF.
As far as doing it without a third party application, it is more of a hunt and peck operation and not easy to do.
When I work with several projects, I only work with one active OMFI MediaFile folder at a time. So before I start a project, I take the existing OMFI folder and rename it to the project name. Then the new project will be added to the OMFI Folder. WHen I need to switch, I change the name of the OMFI folder to the project name, and change the name of the folder project name back to OMFI MediaFiles.
Archaic, I know, but it works.

If you are planning on doing this a lot, you might want to consider purchasing MediaMover:

No you cannot. OSX will mount a NTFS drive but it is not optimized for video performance with the OS. The reverse is true for mounting Mac drives on a PC. MOunting as shuttle drive is one thing, but playback and performance is another.

Avid systems do not export title or text information directly from the system for the creation of subtitle tracks.

If your encoding application accepts QuickTime as a source, then export a QuickTime reference movie and encode from there.

Try using a motion blur from one of the plug-in vendors.
