Don’t know of any FCP/x big features, but for 2016 there was Deadpool which should have at the very least taken that last (unused) 10th best picture nomination. It was a fun, engaging, and nicely edited film.
Sundance pics gets picked up, you never know what happens for 2017 releases.

So if you drill down to the very last folder that contains actual images, you see nothing? One thing to check is to ensure than none of the folder names anywhere along the line as illegal characters like / * , etc.

Agreed – the new source browser allows either LINK or IMPORT so there is no reason it cannot navigate and behave like another folder containing media assets. There is something else afoot.

Are you selecting the audio check boxes at the bottom as well when you transcode? They are unchecked by default.

True, but that is is not a roundtrip of the AAF, just the MXF essence. If you made editorial changes in Resolve, they will not reflect on the original sequence still in MC. You can send the media as you have done. Are you doing a relink to selected to the new media? There may be MOB confusion between the previous version of media being created.

You cannot make any editorial changes in Resolve when doing a roundtrip. When you do, it creates a new AAF and any effects, layers, etc. it did not understand get removed. The roundtrip works because it only updates the media it is referencing (new colored clips) and returning the same AAF with references to the new media. That way any effects known and otherwise are still preserved when returning to MC.

Did you try loading it up as a sequence first so it gets converted to a 23.976 sequence, then load the converted sequence as source?

There are some external tools that might help. In this scenario, this should take an EDL with locators and convert it to Avid DS SubCap which you can use as an overlay in the video:
