Add the “reformat” column to your bin. Hilight all clips that you want to adjust and right click in that column. It is a menu with different aspect ratio controls. Pick the one that you want.
For sequences that already have these clips included, with sequence/timeline active in record side window, go to clip menu (and I’m trying to remember menu item off the top of my head), select sequence, update sequence or something to that effect and update aspect ration from secondary menu.

Although Avid codecs are 10 bit, certain processing paths are >10bit.

When you load one of the BWF files into the source monitor, what does it show? 1, 2, more tracks?

For complex timelines, I decompose the sequence with whatever handles you want to have, drag all the .new master clips into a timeline, then export a File_16 EDL for Redcine X.

Try installing 5.5 again and see if it still sees your license, if so, deauthorize and do the upgrade again. If not, you may need to contact Avid for them to deauthorize on the server side.

They exported from RCXPro already, but at DNxHD36 for the offline. Now it’s about the online –

If they are renting the system, then they can most likely provide software. Or a DVD recorder which you can pick up for a song and a dance these days.

Depends on how much authoring, menus and such. If it’s just a “first play” of the timeline, then something like Toast will do the job.

I use Adobe Media Encoder and Adobe Encore for DVD compression and authoring. You can still get Compressor for the MPEG encoding on the App Store. You can get 30 day trials of the Adobe products or Suite – the suite is a better deal as you know you will always need Photoshop and After Effects in the workflow at some point.

Then I would do the EDL pull list back to Redcine, generate new hi-rez DNxHD, relink to that, and finish as needed.
