    Upgrade Woes

    Hi All,
    I am returning [thankfully] to AVID after many years in exile on FCP. I had MC5.5 on my computer and had the upgrade to 6.0 which I tried to install today. But of course I didn’t read the directions and so installed 6.0 over 5.5 without uninstalling [or de-authorizing] 5.5. So now none of my licensing information is recognized. What are my options?

    Try installing 5.5 again and see if it still sees your license, if so, deauthorize and do the upgrade again. If not, you may need to contact Avid for them to deauthorize on the server side.
