Will Apple’s Uncompressed 10-bit codec do? I’m on a laptop.

Thank you! I think this will do the trick. Btw. I just realized I posted in the wrong forum, my apologies.

This is cool however not what I was looking for. What I’m trying to achieve is an approximation of a curved video wall. I can turn the layer with an offset applied to it into 3D and play with the camera to achieve the sense of perspective but I was hoping I could try to use the gradient to create a fake curve. It may not work but first I need to figure out the simple way of mapping the gradient into scale.

I’m not concerned about quality since I’m using it as a matte to reveal the text underneath. But I think I’ve just solved my “problem” too: the text layer’s anchor point is in a different place that the solid’s I applied my effect to. So even though I was scaling them by the same amount they looked different.

Yep, I agree. That’s how I’ve been doing this in Avid and After Effects when I really wanted to make sure things looked right.

Even a 2 frame dissolve “solves” the problem but a cut is a cut and “virtual” is not “the same” (my apologies for being snotty; I couldn’t resist it 🙂 I would expect any editing software to deal properly with the most basic editorial device so in my book it’s a major problem.

I’m in NY so I’m sure I can find someone – I just didn’t think I would have to. So there is such thing as “elephant” pliers?

Cables are the same. Just the placement of the connectors/sockets is so bizarre that it’s impossible to plug anything in unless you have pliers that are shaped like elephant trunk. Which makes me think these two might not be compatible after all.

That’s the model I took the SDI card from. And it’s different than the 13″ model in terms of power plugs placement. That’s why i have a problem.

I googled the model # and found this link: https://www.broadcastbaron.com/infopvm1354q.htm. Lo and behold it has SDI option installed! That answers half of my question, now I just need to figure out how to install that damn card…
