  • I had this problem once. Here’s what I did. I captured the audio (the best I could) and then went back to the beginning of where the problem started and captured the video in slow motion ( I have a PD 150 withthat capability), the digital blocking and “pink screen” were gone, with the exception of a few artifacts that I could live with. Then in Final Cut Pro, I used the speed control to 200% (I think that the % that brings it back to normal speed. Then synced the audio back. Even better if you don’t need the Audio and can set it to music.

    Hope this works for you.

Mark’s right. Give it to them. I like to burn the copies on dual layer discs. It’s harder for the average joe to copy. Also, the video is better, because you have twice the space to burn, so you compress less.

I’ve done 20 years of weddings and never once had a groom say he wanted the mic hidden. Are you asking them? “Hey Tom, I need your inside pocket so we can get the vows nice and clear”, then I place it lower on his lapel. Yes, you can see it if you look for it but it’s very minor. I take it off after the receiving line.

I take that back, I had one groom say he didn’t want a mic at all, nervous nelly. So I put it on the kneeler.

Probably, I just can’t afford Steadicam. Has anyone had any luck with any other brands that are under $3000.00?

May 4, 2008 at 1:24 pm in reply to: HVX200a vs. Sony EX1

How about the actual low light comparison of the two. I do a lot of weddings and my pd 170 is great in low light. I heard that the EX1 is good in those conditions as well, how about the 200A? As good, better, worse?

    Thank you
