Yes, it’s MOV I usually use – that would explain the problem. Some experimenting needed. Cheers

Yes, HD footage, a few effects, and large WAV sound files too (if that affects anything).
Looks as if I’ll have to tolerate it until I can upgrade.

I’ll have a look at that. I suspect the version I’m using (Sony Movie Studio 13 Suite) may not have all the bells and whistles, but I’ll check it out, cheers. 🙂

I’m not quite sure what you mean. But I have found a kind of ‘solution’.
I’ve made a duplicate of the section, applied the effects only to the copy, faded that in then out, and dropped the volume on the original. Seems to work.
If you could perhaps expand a little on the automation thing, I would be interested. 🙂
