Well don’t I feel foolish,
Thank you M. Szalapski! Now to deal with the tiny native resolution for the screen I’m developing for.
I also found that opening a new illustrator document and setting the Profile to Film & Video, then copying over the vectors and re-saving it seemed to help. When I re-imported the file to AE I just selected import as footage this time.

Hi,
I’ve tried everything listed here but I’m still having pixelation issues. I have the Document Raster Effects Settings at 300 ppi from illustrator, I’m importing as Composition – Retain Layer Size, and I have the continuously rasterize box checked.

I’ve attached an image to show what it looks like.
