Pixelated vector art in After Effects

Do you have the collapse transformations/continuously rasterize box checked on all layers with vector art?

Uh oh — still having the problem… even with continuously rasterize checked. Any other ideas?

Hi,

I am having the same trouble, but I do have the continuous rasterize icon selected in everything including my precomps. These are imported .ai flat vector images, so I should get perfectly clean edges, especially on straight lines. But I am getting rasterization still. Any ideas of what I can try ?

Hi,

I’m also havin trouble with pixelated vectors in After Effects when I scale objects.
Continuisly rasterize switch doesn’t make any difference.
Any ideas?

If you have the switched turned on for a precomp, it’s the collapse transformations switch. If you have it turned on for vector art, it’s the continuously rasterize switch.

Basically, if you have it on for a precomp containing vector art, you need to also have the switch turned on for the vector art inside the precomp.

I’ve tried everything listed here but I’m still having pixelation issues. I have the Document Raster Effects Settings at 300 ppi from illustrator, I’m importing as Composition – Retain Layer Size, and I have the continuously rasterize box checked.

I’ve attached an image to show what it looks like.

Your comp viewer is set at 200%. After Effects will only ever show you the exact pixel value of a comp. If you put your comp viewer at 100%, it will look crisp again and you can scale that up to your heart’s content. 🙂
