A very belated but sincere “Thanks” for your help! I must have missed your reply. Last fall I gave up and gave the client another format. Then went looking again 14 months later and found this via a google search- only to realize I was the person asking the original question! Thanks again.

PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE SOLVED…
I ran a few more tests and realized that I was having the same problem with the export even without the transition–so, desperate, I took credit card in hand ahdn just upgraded to PP CS5. Now the export works like a charm– plus it’s a lot easier to deal with .met files in general. Well worth the $299.

Hi Jan,
What is BR? Bitrate? Not sure what you mean.
The folks at Puget Customs, who built the computer, loaded all the drivers, so I’m not sure which one I’m using.
I’m out of town the next few days so can’t check on that; the reason I posted before leaving town is that as soon as I get back, I’m headed overseas to use the camera on an embed with US military–so I’m anxious to work towards a solution asap!

Hi- thanks for the answer! Are you saying that the video card can affect the way the program exports video?
This is the card I’m using:
PNY Quadro FX 3800 PCI-E 1.0GB
I have not tried to export to Blu-Ray yet (the system is brand new), but I was able to export to regular DVD-R as a playable DVD using Encore, and it exported just fine, so maybe you’re onto something here. What does Mercury Playback compatible mean?
