    Dave,

    Thanks for the info.
I was wondering what the word is on the Sony software you use to import SxS cards. I have been holding back on Lion until that was ready and working, using the old version of XDCAM transfer called by M100. I know there is a new unified version, but does it work reliably? Does M100 call it for the import process?
    Thanks again,

    Michael

    Hi Nick,

I was looking for new AJA drivers for another reason, not the 10.6.8 update issue, and there is a v9.01 on the AJA web site for Kona 3. What I don’t know is if that is approved by Media100 for Suite 2.

I had the XML export problem with Suite 2.01, but the export XML file just didn’t open in AE, crashed AE in fact. It didn’t make Media100 disappear, and seems to work fine in the latest beta. I had that same disappearing act several versions ago when trying to export to QuickTime. Never figured out what actually caused it, but what seemed to stop Media100 disappearing in that case was logging out and logging back in as administrator and running Media100. You might try that, even though it sounds like voodoo, it might help.

More likely is Floh’s troubleshooting scenario. M100’s tec h support can help you.
    Good luck,

    Hi Peter,

I’ve had my share of problems with XML transfer, but all seems fine with the latest version of the Suite. What version are you having a problem with?

Consider trying the Suite v2 trial?
Clips from different standards in the same timeline.
It might solve part of your problem, not the missing clips though.

    Good luck,

Thanks Dave. Hugh had the crash report a week or so ago.
Sorry to hear about the reproduction, but somewhat relieved. Keep me posted as you’re able.

The 2.01 shows the same date and version. It is, I think, the only one AE can find. It’s the only one I can find.
1.7.1 was giving me problems as well. I have a crash report (AE) I could send….

    Matt,

The bundle installs automatically, no more moving. Yours seems like the AE 6.5 version, might be too old?

Hi Dave, and thanks for the quick response!
My Boris XML transfer plug in, from the just installed Suite 2.0 is at version 2, size 606 KB, created 6/22/10. (Seems old?)
Downloading the new beta and I’ll give that a shot later.

    Thanks for your help,

    Michael

    Floh,

It was an excellent presentation, minor system problems notwithstanding. Thanks so much for packing so much clear info into an hour, and thanks to all the Media100 crew for getting this release out to the rest of us.

I think a lot of people will want to see the presentation…make a big splash announcement when it is available!!
