Yeah, it’s a really, really, really good idea to turn off Windows updates and all other updates any programs on your system may do. That means no Quicktime update, no Adobe, no graphics cards, no Windows, no iTunes…nothing. It always runs the risk of breaking your Avid.

Can you post a video of what’s happening? I’m not entirely clear what you mean by shaking.
Keylight is a chromakeyers that’s included with After Effects. It’s pretty good, but if you don’t have After Effects you won’t have Keylight. Do you have After Effects?

No MojoSDI’s do HD. They’re SD only. You have to go to the MojoDX for HD.

LOL. I think the seething anger feature was added in version 3.
I’ve had it not work before too, but never figured out why. Maybe pull up a short clip and try it again. Make sure the timeline is active when you turn on the sample plot/energy plot. Although maybe it only works with the sample plot?

They’ve offered two paid upgrades last year – 3.0 came out early last year, then 3.5, and 4 is out now. Between paid upgrades they offer point releases for free, which typically fix some bugs and occasionally add new features.
Avid skipped NAB last year and doesn’t seem to be holding themselves to that schedule, but I’m hoping they have some great announcements at this one. I’d like to see an affordable monitoring solution for HD – right now MojoDX is the cheapest, and it’s $5K on sale.
NAB is just a few weeks away – I guess we’ll see what they announce, if anything. Although if you’re needing an upgrade and they release 4.5 or version 5, they’ve historically had a grace period where you can upgrade to the newest release for free if you purchased the prior version within about a month. But that’s always subject to change.

Glad Marked Waveforms worked for you.
To figure out what the “cancel” command for redrawing waveforms on a Mac, render something and look at the lower right of the render progress bar. It should show “Cmd+.” or “Ctrl+. to cancel”. If it’s not there, just watch the render bar – on my PC it flashes up when a new render starts, then disappears. Whatever keystrokes it says should be the universal cancel in Avid, stopping renders, waveform redraws, etc… Not sure why it didn’t work.

On a Mac, try Cmd and .
You can also go to your Timeline settings (I think – not in front of a system right now) and turn on Show Marked Waveforms. It will only show waveforms/energy plots between your In and Out points on your timeline.
