    Hi,
You’ll need to separate the person from the background. If you haven’t shot yet…Shoot over blue, green, or white (white for just a few situations). You’ll be able to extract the person by keying. Once you have them separated, you can simply tint that layer whatever color you want. Same for the background. If you’ve already shot them, and they are not keyable, you’ll need to do some rotoscoping to extract them from the background. If they are a still, that would be pretty simple. If they are moving not so much.

    Hi Aanarov,
I actually post the file to our FTP site for download the same day.
I find the MPEG 2’s have the best quality vs. size. I haven’t gotten the same mix with wmf.

  • I think I figured it out..
I exported the encore settings and imported those in premiere. Same interlacing problems. I tried rendering upperfield instead of lower field in premiere. This seemed to solve the problem. There must be some type of mix up in the code when it comes to uf vs. lf with that particular setting?

  • Thanks Mike,
That’s what I thought. I’ll double check my setting (can’t do it till Monday), and see if there’s something different.

    Hi Roger,
I assume you read the keylight tutorials that come with the documentation?
If not, there are several tutuorials (examples) that help explain the functions much better.

April 18, 2005 at 12:36 pm in reply to: Adobe is buying Macromedia??

    Hi Michael,
A very interesting, and surprising(to me)move. Two absolutely great companies that should now rule the world (until they get bought by comcast, which will eventually own everything).

At first I’m a little disappointed. It seems this will push Adobe towards focusing more on the web. I was really hoping for a major announcement regarding upgrades to AE and Premiere Pro. I doubt this will happen now, with this major news. I’m afraid there will be some new product combining things like Acrobat, flash, and dreamweaver…Allowing corporate communications via the web. Don’t get me wrong, this will probably be super, for those of us whos focus is web related; however, for us video and effects guys, it makes me wonder. I guess we will all find out more later.

On a financial note, my kids college holdings of about 10 shares (big holding huh) of adobe, will probably drop by $2 today.

    Take care,

    Mike Goldberg
