Select the clip. Open the info pane (cmd-4). Click on “Info”. There’s a dropdown menu at the bottom of the info pane. Click it and select “settings view.” The anamorphic flag should be there.

I’ve always felt, since 10.0, that a HUD could be a great, alternate use for the entire info panel. Great for effects, especially color. Hopefully with the ability to change the size as you need/want it. Doesn’t motion have a HUD for effects settings?

Marcus – thanks for the tip showing that clip duration is in the info panel! Silly as I’ve been staring at it for 2 years and never noticed it. This helps me a lot.
But, like you, I would really prefer to see that info on the TC display.
I have been requesting this from Apple and filling out lots of request forms. One thing I’d like back is the ability to select a TC or duration and copy paste it’s value.

I tried it and it rendered and played fine. Didn’t do any extensive editing or testing with it though.

While I agree about the cost, one benefit to digital-only is that they can now update on a more frequent basis. With discs, we would have to wait for the next version for major updates or features. Only bug fixes could really be made between versions.

Hi Kevin,
First off, everything looks very impressive. Looking forward to the release. Can you tell us when you’ll announce the release date?
Regarding importing, well, it’s kinda the same (but not really). In 7, I could open a project and just bring in a few clips from a sequence. Is that possible? Or would I need to bring in the entire sequence?
Is there a demo vid online to show the new way to import the from other projects?

It’s been so long since I’ve heard anyone around here saying “yay” to much of anything. 🙂 Must admit, I’m very excited about this.
Transcript integration through Story is HUGE for doc work. Hope it works as well as they demo it.
I’m hoping they have audio volume key maps like in 7 and X. But if not, the clip mixer could work nicely.
Looks like there are a bunch of ex-FCP “classic” engineers now at Adobe furiously bringing it up to date. Hope it’s as good as the tease makes it out to be. Still some missing features for me that I’ll keep griping about (no find in timeline, built in 3-way cc is just plain weirdness, wanna gotta haveta open multiple projects)
I feel like I could cut something on it. Can’t wait to “sync” my fingers into it. Yuk Yuk… oh hell, it’s late.

Just an FYI for those who might have to deal with spanned clips with the need for multiple audio roles…
I had one clip that I was forced to bring in spanned. It had a mix of interview and B-roll. With news, I need to create roles for NAT-SOT and INTVW audio, as well as VO to export a multi-track QT. Unless I’m missing something, it seems that roles can only be applied to a full clip – not to sections.
So, if I had brought in all the clips as spanned and then keyworded them, I would have been (mostly) unable to send out multiple audio tracks. There are two workarounds. One is to duplicate the clip first and then add separate roles to each clip. The second is to add the role to the clip once it’s in the project. Once in the project, they don’t refer back to the original clip.
Luckily, I only had to deal with this on one clip.
