I’ve done that but I have a weird situation where the timecode generator starts at a different timecode than the picture its attached to. I attach the timecode generator as a clip at the first frame, and then change its duration to roughly match the duration of the storyline…see attached shots. Don’t know how to fix it!

Primary for me is interviews, the A roll, and B roll is connected or intercut with primary. I have yet to create a secondary storyline. If you were doing fiction, I would think it would be the master shots, and then you’d work on the closer angles, reverses, inserts, etc as connected clips or intercut.

I have begun capturing HDV footage (from miniDV tape) using ProRes422. I was surprised to learn that I could not monitor sound (from computer output) during capture (instead, had to monitor sound via camera output, which is a few frames behind the captured footage). Also, capture only allows me to enter a single file name during one capture session (in other words, until I press ESC to end it and start another one), and no means of adding info to each clip captured.

Can you tell me how I can enter such information as reel number to multiple clips captured, so that I don’t have to click on each clip individually to enter? Also, with each individual entry, which is how I am currently doing it, there appears a warning–can I get rid of that?
