You did not mention which deck you are using as your source. We use a DSR 1600 player that allows placing the tc window anywhere. You could also use an external window burner, such as a Horita WG-50. We recorder to a Panasonic T2020 for this sort of thing, and it works quite well. I’ve never had a playback problem.
BTW, we also make DVD window scoring prints with TC on audio ch 2. My composer loves this.

We use the Epson direct-to-cd label, as well as Avery Design Pro for all other media. I think they still have a free version of this. http://www.avery.com

That seems to work. Something so simple, yet so irritating. Many thanks.

We have used a DVD recorder to make window dubs for scoring prints. Scratch mix on ch 1, TC on ch 2. Seems to work well as a chase for ProTools. I’ve never tried to do this with software.

Thanks. We’ve always provided .scc files for authoring. This suggests that the video master must already have CC encoded on line 21?
Hmmm. Back to square one. Thanks for the tip.

The menu came from PS, but I can’t seem to find the invisible pixels. There are only 2 elements: text & a highlight shape.
    Wait a minute!
The text has a very soft drop shadow. I’ll bet that’s the culprit.
    Thanks for the hint.

Look to see if you have a chapter mark at or near the end of a timeline. If so, move it back toward the front a notch.

We have an RU-SM16 “velcro-ed” to the side of our WFM/Vectorscope. I trust its readings over the built-in meters on our NLE (Discreet edit). It gets its signal directly from the edit box via otherwise unused unbalanced outputs.
    It does require a wall-wart.
