Regarding the file format, the manual says “Sensor resolution 640×480 VGA CMOS sensor”. That’s the closest thing I could find to a file format description.

I did go to Project Properties, where the upper right tab is called “Match Media Settings” in my version of Vegas. I selected one of the clips in question but that did not change any of the default settings at all. (Which default is set to NTSC DV.)

One other clue is that, whenever I import any of the clips into Vegas, an AVI.sfk file is created. But that doesn’t change being unable to see the video in Vegas.

In my version of Vegas the top right tab in Project Properties says is called the Match Media Settings tab. When I click on that and browse to any of the clips in question, it doesn’t do anything to change the default NTSC DV settings.

I did download G-spot and dropped one of the clips into it. It says that the associated codec is MJPG – Motion JPEG and that “CODEC(s) are installed”. Also, for the container, its says: File length correct & AVI v.1.0.

Tried downloading Super including AVSVideoConverter but that installation did not complete. (A DrWatson debugger kicked in.)

When I bring any of the clips into Vegas, an associated AVI.sfk file is created.
