Gosh, that was so long ago. I’m not sure what I ended up doing to get it to work, but I haven’t had the same problem lately.

Go through your process and I’ll see if I can find the step I’m not doing any more.

Yup found it. Just had to look around a little more. Thanks.

  • Thanks! I’ll post something to them right away. Nothing seems to be working, but there is definitely a discrepancy between the machines (sadly, it was the best we could find on short notice!)

I’ve tried burning both through the “Share” menu option and through Compressor itself. Both to no avail.

    I’m using Memorex BD-Rs and the Pioneer BD-RW BDR-203.

I’ve made plenty of discs before, without a problem.

I just encountered another error over the weekend where I got the message “There was an error trying to burn the disc. Please make sure there is enough space on your boot drive.” There is about 200 GB on my boot drive.

Hallelujah! It worked. A full uninstall and re-install…. removing graphics cards… replacing graphics cards… all because of one misbehaving 95 kb QuickTime file!

Shane, can you pass the good word over to the LAFCPUG forum you linked me to yesterday? I don’t have an account there (probably should though… I go to the meetings…). Thanks!

Nice work, Matthew! I’ll try to post the word on the other forums.

Everything’s playing off of either an internal RAID (for the ProRes 4444 footage) or an external FW800 (for the ProRes 422 LT stuff). But it’s not dropping frames (no warning is popping up). And it only does it if I’m in Digital Cinema Desktop Preview mode.

I put the resolution of the second monitor to 1920×1200 since I’m working with 1920×1080 footage, and making it play back at a higher resolution didn’t yield great playback results. Not much point in up-res-ing the footage when it looks good playing at 1920×1200.

Complete uninstall… complete reinstall… loss of all presets, etc. STILL not working.

  • You can tell if something is duplicated in a timeline. In the Settings dialog for your sequence, go to Timeline Options and check the box for “Show Duplicate Frames”. Is that what you’re talking about, or are you asking about something specifically in the browser window?
