My problem rendering with Vegas Pro 64bit is that the AVCHD timeline imagery starts to color cycle in the Preview Window and this shows up in the final render also. During just normal playback the imagery in the Preview Window displays correctly.

In my case also, disabling GPU rendering results in a normal render.

    My System:
    Intel Quadcore Extreme
    8GB RAM
    Win 7 64 Ultimate
    nVidia GTX 480 (1.5GB DDR5 VRAM)
Vegas Pro 64, Bld, 371 only (as the download update keeps coming across truncated so far).

I recently installed CS4 Master Collection on my Vista64 Ultimate PC and found that five of the installed programs won’t launch, AE, Encoder, Flash, and a couple of others. There were no error messages spawned during installation. PS does work properly and I’ve been enjoying its CUDA boosted features with large images.

I’m bumping up against my 4GB limit of installed memory currently while working so I’m thinking of increasing that to 8MB soon.

I have yet to try the recent program updates posted to see if there’s been any bug fixes.

Perhaps you can try out the Casio Exilim Pro camera. It does 720p, 1080p, and slow motion (300, 600, 1200fps) and I use Vegas Pro to output the collages in WMV HD 720p. You can get some cool slo-mo shots of your racing with that cam (300fps – 512×384, 600fps and 1200fps shots are smaller in height) as it outputs .mov files. The HD video is very good for a sub $1K cam and it even has an HDMI output.

Sometimes this happens to me so I then render out to .avi uncompressed and then use WME9 to output WMV HD files, or I then try to again output straight to .wmv after the .avi uncomp attempt.
