I don’t think it is dropping frames cos the playback on the FCP overlay is not jerky at all. The drop-frame message did not pop up .

I have installed several Kona cards before and this is the 1st time I’m seeing this.

So bottomline is that Vegas can’t generate an EDL which Avid Online can read ?

Deck? – Sony A500P (PAL)
VTR control? – Sony RS422 (VITC+LTC)
Have you marked ins an outs in the sequence? – Yes
Have you switched to editing mode from mastering mode in edit to tape? – Yes
Are you sure you are not assemble editing? – Definitely
Is it just one shot that needs replacing? – Yes
Have you closed the project and restarted? – Yes
Did you trash FCP prefs files? – Yes
Are you running the latest driver/QT combo as recomended by AJA? – Yes 7.0.3

I am thinking could it be a deck setting instead ? Maybe the pre/post-roll setting didn’t tele with FCP’s settings.
