    Luke,

Thanks for the fast reply and terrific information. I’m using the latest version of FCP 5 and your BM codes with a BM HD link card.

When I try to export a clip from 1080i DVCPROHD to the BM 8 bit (2VUY), I’m getting a dialogue box that tells me it’s medium quality. Is that OK?…can I get “Best” quality? Same thing happens if I go to the botttom of the list and select, Uncompressed 8 bit 4:2:2.

Should I be using a custom size 1280 X 720? or wil lautomaic cover that?

    thx..Mason

Thanks for the offer…We’re just finishing a shoot and changing locations from the right coast to the left, but we’ll be stopping in Las Vegas, and I’ll send you a clip from there in a couple of days.

    Thanks…Mason

It’s a DVCPROHD 720P timeline (actualy just a few clips with no effects, etc, so one layer). So do I export it as a quicktime movie just as i would if it were to be used on my FCP timeline. The last time I did this the Avid people (ABC) couldn’t use it and had to send it out for conversion.

    Thx..Mason
