Yes, the “lossless” preset and .avi does work; what’s funny is that QuickTime + Avid Codecs (DNxHD, DNxHR) *does* render into any other drive than the “S:” drive; what returns the error in every drive is if I set the h264 codec. So strange!

Anyway, I think this is too time consuming to investigate and troubleshoot; I think I’ll just use my old Win10 laptop for legacy projects and keep the Win11 workstation clean with only my current version Adobe subscription. After all, CC2015 is indeed a 8 years old software, I don’t think it would take that noticeable advantage from a modern machine.

    Thanks!

Thank you so much for the answer. Unfortunately, I am trying to recover some old project which uses expressions, particles and camera raw presets and (I tested this) if I update the projects to newer AE versions something will always change, even if slightly. I need to be conservative in this project recovery.
Anyway, I could do this procedure on my old gaming laptop with Win10 where everything works, just wanted to cut render times using the new workstation.

So it really could be a Win11 compatibility issue?

Does somebody has some insight on that error code?
    Thanks!
