It was shot on 35, then telecined to beta and digitized to FCP on 29.97 frame rate. Then it was reversed telecined on cinema tools to 24p and also was conformed to 23.98. We cannot do reverse telecine to 23.98 in cinema tools. it only allows for real 24p and not the puuldown version. So right now we’re trying to figure out the best way to confrom it to 23.98 without getting this jitter. any advice?

Thanks! and what happens when i go back to film? cause if the audio is pulled down and then i do go back to the 24p world of film, then the sound is not going to be in sync again. my main concern is the negative cut and not thrwoing things out of sync at that stage (the negative cutting stage)

I am going to export the OMF files once we have a lock picture. If i understand you correctly you’re saying that i am going to have sync problems while editing? what i’m worried about is that i am going to have sync problems once we send the lock picture to negative cut.

The film was shot on 35mm and we got Beta tape with the footage. Later on we imported all the clips and performed reverse telecine in cinematools and imported the new 24p clips into final cut pro. There is a window burn with TC and key codes. I am not sure if the DAT audio was pulled down as well. should we do it? please let me know. i called the lab that is going to do the negative cut and they said they thought it was okay. the audio is already synced with the picture in FCP, should we pull down the audio and resync everything?
