    Hey Sascha,

I know this is a very old thread. But I’m going through the same thing. Did you copy and paste your stereo track to create 8 mono tracks?

a few months ago i took a good look and due to the sun rays spilling in-between both trucks even though the sun is not directly behind him, and the fact the sunset exposure is so perfect while everything else is perfectly lit… it’s hard for me to say it’s real. There’s a few other things…. but if it’s real… they most of had the best camera, DP, Gaffer, Colorist ever in the whole universe.

  • I’m not really savvy when it comes to all these codecs, YCbCr/RGB talk…

I’ve learned a lot from reading this but it’s still not clear to me.

So basically I just started using FCPX. My question is, would editing Native h.264 then doing heavy coloring/grading and exporting as h264 or Pro Res is the same as transcoding native h264 to Pro Res before editing… then applying heavy coloring/grading then export as h264 or Pro Res? I know it’s not adding any detail, but doesn’t Pro Res expands the color range and file size to gives you more freedom to color correct and grade? Almost like a dry sponge being soaked in water?
