Export MXF File
Dear FCP Friends,
I have to deliver for a Record Company in Belgium a weird master file: An MXF Container with XDCAM HD422 50Mb/s (see attached image).
When I export an XDCAM HD422 from FCP 7, the container is a .MOV file, not a MXF.Any ideas how I could get that? I can output from my system over following apps: FCP 7 & X, PPro, Compressor, AE, DaVinci and AVID.
Any suggestion would be great.

You don’t export a QT movie…you go FILE>EXPORT>XDCAM. And then you get this interface:
(oh, you need to switch audio to DUAL MONO in the Sequence Settings, audio tab before you export)
Choose the required settings and export.

It refuses to to it in 16 bit, it requires to change to 24-bit TL settings. Any idea why?

Because that’s one of the requirements of OP1a MXF deliverables…I suppose. I mean, it says “you must do this.” Just do it.

Getting following error message:

HOw much room is available on the drive you are exporting to?
To be honest, I’ve only done this once…4 years ago.

Can’t be the disc space:2,5 TB Free 🙂
Besides, I do not have the export options like you, if I go to export, I have the option to go to SONY content browser,
and from there I get the window you posted.
No matter to which volume I wanna export to, I get this error log 🙁 -

Found the problem: I have to create 8 Mono Channels, even if I have only 1 Stereo with files on it.
