Proxies in DHxHD115 generated from Alexa mini RAW with Resolve. Project is 1920×1080 24p.
MacOS 10.12.5, Mac Pro 8-core 3GHz, 32GB RAM, D700.
Apparently specs does not matter as an older MC run well on the same system. -

Thanks Michael,
looks like the issue with relink solved. -
Thanks for reply, Michael!
I am conforming camera originals in Resolve, having AAF assembled from proxy media (that have source reel names correct).
I just checked the Media Composer sequences and they look to be assembled from the clips with correct (original) file names.
That makes me think .new01 is added during AAF creation.
Did I get you right that the editor should avoid consolidating media during AAF creation and that will make file names appear correct in AAF? -
Dave, thank you for reply!
After a closer look I found out that it really happens only in the beginning of the program. Second part is ok, so I think your idea of sync jitter is the best explanation for this.
Never met such an issue before. -
Sorry, maybe my description is not quite clear. Not image sequence. I need to render FCP sequence not to a single MOV file, but to a number of files. Each file for one clip from in to out.
-
Mmm, sorry, but if most part of codecs doesn’t have that field dominance signifier, as you say, what’s the use of modifying capture preset? If FD tag isn’t attached to media file, next time you use this clip in a new project field dominance will be treated in ‘default’ way. Am I wrong?
It might only help if you’re going to recapture (not relink) media and you want to force FCP to store footage as progressive.
I thought field dominance tag is common property of all QT files.
By the way, what codecs do have this signifier for sure? -
Well, in my case that will definitely work! FCP reads correct field dominance from source media. That’s what I need.
Anyway it’s obvious that clever editors avoid such situations, but in case you’re in these circumstances, this is the solution. Yet not convenient and correct, but for now – the fastest.
Hope anybody suggest faster and more ‘official’ way. -
[Jeremy Garchow] “If you do this before you edit, it’s not so much of a problem.”
I’d be glad to do this, but let’s assume that 1) I don’t have an opportunity to recapture anything, 2) I’ve got final sequence from editor. He did what he did: edit program using offline progressive PAL proxy.
Now I am to solve that problem in this particular circumstances. )
