Exact request from client:

* Clips can be imported into the X File3 on the EVS.
* .MOV files with an MXF wrapper are acceptable with audio 48KHz/8bit
* CODEC must be either AVID DNx145.mxf or ProRes 422. It cannot play H264 files.
* Frame rate must be 59.94 – not 60 or 29.97 not 30. EVS is very particular

Thank you guys. I have now another piece of the puzzle. For codec I can deliver either ProRes 422 or DNx145.

I use Premiere on a Mac. When I go to export I can find tons of DNx flavors, but not at 145 megabits per second. So, if go with Quicktime and ProRes 422 I will end up with mov files, not MXF files.

I just don’t understand why wrap a wrap in a wrap.

Their concern is that the EVS they use is very particular.

This client’s comunication skills are badly lacking. I’m starting to believe that all this is nothing but bad grammar.

I am still waiting for more specifics from them, but I agree with you. The specs they gave me are very vague, hence me asking here. I have to assume that the 8bit is either a typo or it refers to color depth.
