February 28, 2011 at 3:09 pm in reply to: any possibility to recover footage from a formatted sxs card?hey guys, thanks for the responses. Unfortunately I’m not having much luck. I tried areoquarter and got their treasure free trial program and it didn’t find anything. I tried data rescue, did the quickscan and deepscan and deleted files scan, nothing. I called the number that was listed talked to a guy and he said that once the card is formatted in the camera, there is nothing you can do.
It was on a live shoot with 6 camera angles, and I’d say this camera was one of the less crucial angles, so it can be edited without it…but still…Sucks to be me…
Any other ideas?
I gotta think, formatting the card takes like 1 second, something that quick, it’s gotta leave some kind of trace to get that stuff back. It just has to dammit.

you’re totally right, I’m doing that now (rendering each title individually). Thanks all for the suggestions! Very very helpful.

March 22, 2008 at 3:35 am in reply to: HELP, tried to improperly remove AECS3, and now can’t re-installhey guys, thanks for the responses.
sorry i didn’t specify before, but I am working on a mac. And I did manage to find a solution. I had to run this program called ADOBE CS3CLEAN SCRIPT. It was a real pain because they really made you fear the wrath of losing everything, so i had to back up my harddrive first. But after doing that, I ran the program, and magically all was well. I’m pretty bitter at adobe for making their installers they way they do. But oh well. IF anyone else runs into the same problem, just remember to use CS3CLEAN SCRIPT. They have mac and windows version.
cheers!

yes but, final cut gives you the option the export in ntsc 4:3 to 23.98 or 24 fps. So I was wondering why the anamorphic or 16:9 ntsc doesn’t give you those options

I have the exact same problems.
I send a portion of a clip from my FCP timeline to Motion, put some stuff on the clip in motion, then render it back in FCP and BOOM, the colors are now slightly different. It looks as if the colors are bleeding a little bit. I’ve tried to just export the clip and it did the exact same thing. If anyone has any solutions, you’d help me out SOOO MUCH.
Oh, and i’m working in FCP 5.1.4, and Motion 2, and working with DVCPRO HD 720p24 footage.
THANKS AGAIN
