Hi all. Just wondering if anyone knows if its possible to export to NTSC anamorphic without the video being changed to 29 frames.

What I’m doing essentially is taking video shot in DVCHDPRO 720p 24fps and trying to export it to NTSC anamorphic but still keeping the 24 framerate (I’m doing this all in final cut studio). If anyone knows how to do this, any help would be hugely appreciated. Thanks.

NTSC is 29.97. If you want to adhere to the NTSC specification then it has to be 29.97 and as such you need to put your material through a 3-2 pulldown process.

yes but, final cut gives you the option the export in ntsc 4:3 to 23.98 or 24 fps. So I was wondering why the anamorphic or 16:9 ntsc doesn’t give you those options
