Alright so it looks like if I change the frame rate to 29 verses best it goes out full size. But it still is exporting the black widescreen matte top and bottom. Any ideas on how to export out anamaorphic verses I don’t know the word, flattened I guess?

Alright I guess I am still not making myself clear. Because I did at one point export a still using QT conversion and set it for a tif. Millions of colors, and got about a 7.5 meg file. Now I do the same thing and I get about a 1.5 meg file and the quality is not as good. Also it has shows the black bars above and below and is not anamorphic like the 7.5 file is. But I can not figure out any other alternate setting to do. As there is only so many options in exporting a still. Which is why I think maybe. I have my sequence setting wrong? Or maybe that is not it either. All I know is I was able to do it once export it at a much more high quality image before and I am unable to replicate it. Hopefully the black bars being visible on the top and bottom will give you some sort of clue as to what the problem might be.

    Thanks

Right but how exactly? I mean do I use quicktime compression? Do I export it as a TIFF? a PNG? It seems everytime I try it is blurry in comparison to what it looks like on Final Cut. I need a break down on the best way to do it. Because I am obviously doing something wrong. Which is why I thought maybe I am loading the footage in FINAL CUT in wrong.
currently this is how i am doing it.
    Export>Quicktime Conversion>FORMAT>STILL IMAGE>
And I have tried PNG, TIFF, TGA, Gone in the options and have tried Best Depth verses Millions of Colors + (there did not seem to be much of a differece.) And everytime I bring it back in final cut. It looks blurry in comparison to the video being paused. I need to export it so it looks like that for a CLEANPLATE I am using in MOKEY.

    Anyone? Bueller? Anyone?

    Thanks

Where do I do this and how?

Also any smarter people out there that know how to export a high quality still from Final Cut as mentioned above?

    Thanks

  • There are 3 extra files in with the .wavs as well.

a text file that when I open it up it says “Session = /mnt/hda1/SESSION 1” The name of this file is autoload.txt

    and two other files called

    settings.set
    SESSION 1.adl

Not sure what those are. Would these files some how work with the software you speak of?

    Then of course the

    SLATE 1_T001_1.wav
    SLATE 1_T001_2.wav
    SLATE 1_T001_3.wav
    SLATE 1_T001_4.wav
    SLATE 1_T001_5.wav
    SLATE 1_T001_6.wav
    SLATE 1_T001_7.wav
SLATE 1_T001_8.wav This track is a stuttering tone track which I assume has the time code on it. But not sure how to see that time code to match it with the video slate.
