  • Ha! That is exactly what I should email back to the cameraman…but I’m trying to hold my tongue and make sure it’s not a common problem before I lose my cool. The guy is saying that he is now noticing the same color problem from a completely different camera that wasn’t on our shoot, which is why I posted this ‘issue’. Who knows, he could be right. I don’t know much about this camera.

As for the pic, here’s a link to the page: https://picasaweb.google.com/matt.team13/Random/photo#5212899239340269426

    Thanks…

Well, I tried a different camera and it works fine on my computer.

The fact that my lil’ ZR40 works on other Apples and not mine made me think it wasn’t a camera issue. Pretty annoying, I even checked to make sure the camera was on ‘DV Out’ mode. No idea what that problem is. Oh well, thanks guys for the help, I appreciate it! I’m just going to borrow a camera for now.

Hmmm, that didn’t do the trick. Weird thing is when I tried to reboot the laptop before trying this, it wouldn’t shut down until I unplugged the camera. It was hung up forever. When I pulled the firewire to my camera, bam, it shut down right away.

Just wondering if it’s a sign to reinstall OSX? I’m getting desperate. I do remember in the past I couldn’t mount a drive when the camera was hooked up for some weird reason. Anyone have this problem before? Or know the cause?

The video tab is selected; I already tried restarting the computer and then FCP with the camera already on; and while it does play fine in Imovie, it still won’t in FCP. I’ve swithed ports, too. Any other thoughts?
