Hey Dwaine, I have the Decklink HD Extreme card, could I replace that with the Decklink Duo to achieve Resolve Live signal on my Grading monitor?

I have the Decklink HD Extreme card, so I would either need to upgrade to the 4K card or add another HD card correct?

I am on a 12 TB internal Raid. I am just trying to figure out ways if maximizing transcoding speeds on my current system. I have 3 extra slots in my expansion chassis and 4 if I remove the Red Rocket. Are there ways to speed up transcoding speeds of Alexa? Will adding GPU’s speed up transcoding speeds of Red 5k and 6k footage?

Seeing that the last post on this forum is 7 months old, I wanted to ask about the same question but in regards to the latest version of Resolve and the new Red Dragon 6K files. I have a similar setup with a Cyclone expansion chassis with two 680’s. Since my Red Rocket won’t work with Dragon footage, I thought about adding one or two more 680’s in place of the Rocket. Since I am stuck with my 12 cores, will adding more 680’s give me faster transcoding speeds of Red and Alexa footage or not. I am currently getting 17 fps while transcoding 5K full res debayer to Pro Res 422 HQ, that is with the Rocket disabled to accommodate Dragon footage and the Resolve setting to use GPU’s to process Red footage. Thanks for any info or suggestions on how to speed up transcoding without going to a faster processor (new computer).

Hey Mikey! Can you use Pomfort in the same tower as Resolve with the Decklink card? I’m staying on version 9 for now but need to do an occasional look setup off of the camera feed.

Thanks for the input guys. I’m going to see how iChat works for my client first and then explore slingbox. I will check out Skype as well. Just need to figure out what I need to get the output of my Decklink into iChat.
