I noticed something fiddling around here. Resolve doesn’t work well when I plug in the new 3rd monitor. I unplugged it as well as my scopes monitor. Then it runs MUCH faster. I think really what I need is a good enough graphics card to run all my displays then leave the 2080 Ti for Resolve exclusively.

Thanks, I think part of what confuses me is I have the Nvidia brand 2080 Ti w/ 11GB memory. They are going for as little as $550 on eBay and upwards of $1000. Did you figure it out? I have the same problem with Davinci Resolve 21 Studio.

The monitor profiles aren’t that great on these things. I have a system for SDR to correct that. However, it won’t handle HDR.

A clean video feed from Davinci Resolve: is it possible to have resolve send a video feed without any influence from the windows color management stuff? Maybe a box I buy or something that sends a clean feed?

I think there maybe a way to round trip files… Say if you’re working with a sound engineer who doesn’t necessarily have resolve. We were looking into that so we could use Adobe Audition for some of the sound design but decided to stick inside fair light for now.

Do you have some screen grabs? I’m curious what you get figured out. I sometimes have to soften faces in resolve using the magic mask (or qualifier tool).

I’d like to move the timeline viewer in Resolve to another monitor but not have it as full screen. The idea being I could have a second display mounted portrait, place the scopes on that screen and the viewer directly above them. Anybody know if this is possible? Or do I need to submit a feature request to BlackMagic?

Yeah same here. I don’t know what they did but it seems to have fixed a majority of the crashing issue for me. Mine still crashes on occasion but not nearly as much thank god.

I spoke too soon. It ran rock solid for about a day. Now it runs for about 5 minutes and randomly crashes. Only things I notice crashing it consistently:

1. Task switching
2. Clicking too fast in application on timeline
