Forgive me if this is already covered somewhere. I’ve been searching a lot and not quite found what I need. I’m looking to do surround sound edits as well as some HDR. The plan would be to remotely mount my editing machine in my home run where I have surround sound equipment, NAS, battery backup, etc all also already wired to my theater room. I’d use a KVM to select the office or the theater room where I could audition video as well as refine surround sound edits.

I found this extender linked below:

    https://www.orei.com/products/4k-60hz-dp-extender-10km-fiber-optic-uhd-fodp10-k

    – I also need at least one HDMI extender for my scope display (and a second for timeline should I decide to add a monitor for that).

    – Additionally, I need a USB 3.0 (or higher) extender.

    – And KVM switch w/ HDMI 2.0+ support to go between the theater room and the editing studio / office. It would be okay if it only supports one monitor but must be HDMI 2.0+ (the additional monitors can remain active in the office if need be or turned off).

These extenders need to work at approximately 120ft (distance to my home run / utility room).

I tried to reach out to this company to get my questions answered but they use AI sale man which was of no help. My searches on the internet result in equipment that doesn’t take into consideration HDR editing, multi monitor support, etc.

Alternatively, maybe there’s a remote setup where I mount a low power mini PC and remote into the editing machine from my office?
