I simply cloned a keyframed house structure building it self up, then added the step effector. I think I did something else like the effector effects polygons or something I can’t quite remember.

May 12, 2010 at 3:37 am in reply to: Mograph and mocap, like motionworks tut. any ideas? So what you are saying is that I need a null for each joint in my BHV file. Mine do not have that but I’m assuming that’s the case form what I have heard. If so is there an easy way to get a null attached to each one? I have tried copying keyframes which doesn’t work well. I have also tried retarget, which works if I take the bone out of the hierarchy before setting the retarget source, but that became tedious, it’ll work but if you have an easier way or another solution altogether. Please let me know. Thanks

Weird, well It was fixed by your suggestion so thank you for that.

Hardy har har… You don’t think I already found that those links were dead, hence “having a tough time finding”. Amazing things you find when you actually click on the download button.

I am happy to see that efforts are being made to review and create a less binding license for the filmmakers who use your service. It is easy to see that your site is in its infancy, and it sounds like there are plenty of upgrades, updates, and revisions to the terms forthcoming. I have signed up recently, but have yet to upload any content as right now I am watching to see these changes implemented.Another feature I would like to see as part of the site is the ability for filmmakers to see both the other content hosted on the site and how many licenses of each are sold, so they can judge the market they are working in fairly, and if need be fine tune their product for the market. On the Envato marketplaces (a similar service catering the web/video/design community) this transparency allows creators to be competitive, and make smarter decisions about content creation. Thus a better product line results.

Exactly! It’s so unstable and poorly thought out that it feels good to “use” it in the worst sense of the term and quickly get out of it (before it crashes) so you can turn around and show some respect to precision in your AE comps.
bummer it wasn’t as intuitive for you as it claims to be, I don’t blame you though, they really need to start form scratch with this program.

I used another expression you posted to do something similar. Have’nt used this one yet, looking to make the text swing in from above instead of from below. can this be tweaked to solve that?
-
Yeah those are my biggest complaints as well, you can’t trust it not crash once your comps start getting fairly involved, and the keyframe editor is not as intuitive as AE.

I suppose I should mention that I want the map to be filled in, not a bunch of object outlining the spline. Kinda like the example scene in mograph with the face and the close object but if thier is a way to make it a cleaner grid, that would suit me much better.

I haven’t. I thought spline mask was for creating composting masks and traveling mattes. I’m not new to 3d but mograph has particularly poor documentation. I’ll definitely give it a shot though. how would one go about using it??
thanks
