Update, upon checking the original files and the AE comp, it appears that it actually imports file 1, then 10 incorrect files, then file 2, then 10 incorrect, file 3 and so on….

It’s hard to see where the 10 are coming from, but I can rule out the possibility it being file 1 followed by 10-19, then 2 followed by 20-29 etc…. The only way I can tel is becasue there are some airplane vapoour trails in the JPGs that last for at least 50 files, and they don’t appear when there is a wrong batch being rendered…

Thanks…. Nice to have such an easy fix… In future I just need to make sure I change my preview mode back to “full” then.

Oh I totally get that. I think there will be a fairly static shot, and maybe a panning shot….

Every video I’ve seen so far is how to add lights to text etc, which all look very animated.

So, here are the settings (my settings will be in brackets)

Adobe Preset – YouTube 1080p HD

Level: 4.2 | (5.1)
Bitrate Encoding: VBR, 1 pass | (VBR, 2 pass)
Target Bitrate: 16 | (20)
Max Bitrate: 16 | (25)

Adobe Preset – YouTube 2160p 4K

Level: 5.2 | (5.1)
Bitrate Encoding: VBR, 1 pass | (VBR, 2 pass)
Target Bitrate: 40 | (60)
Max Bitrate: 40 | (60)

TBH, my settings are a slight copy of someone else’s that I saw online (it may have been on here but I can’t remember. I also have a 2.7k preset, but Adobe doesn’t have one for YouTube 2.7, so nothing to compare against. That’s basically with the bitrates set halfway between that of 1080p and 2160p.

I guess what I really need to know is, is my bitrate too high? From everything I have read, having the VBR 2 Pass is a must.

I’m thinking either a marker like the Google Maps marker, or a 2D image of a cartoon guy we use on our vans.
