So if anyone is interested I was able to get this working with the help of a friend. I turned everything off in the viewport window except for the nulls. Then I went into the preferences for the program and turned the viewport windows background to solid black (as to let me overlay the images over footage). Then it’s just a matter of changing the render settings to software render. The result was an entire black screen with only the null markers themselves visible.
